We believe we can obtain this goal by offering unconstrained access to our vast private equity network via fee-efficient, client-centric platform. SWCP professionals have decades of experience in providing some of the largest institutions with unique, successful strategies.

Direct Secondary Solutions

Sweetwater purchases and actively manages pools of private investments. SWCP provides a timely and responsible process to assist limited partners seeking to maximize liquidity in these pools. We have the experience and ability to replace existing general partner (GP replacement), supplement the existing GP with added support (GP wind down) or purchase the entire pool (Secondary Direct).

Founder & CEO

James is the Founder & CEO of Sweetwater Capital Partners and chairs the firm’s Advisory Committee. Prior to Sweetwater, James was Co-founder & President of Madison Creek Partners, a healthcare services company. While at Madison, James oversaw and completed six (6) acquisitions of eleven (11) healthcare facilities. By the time he left, Madison had reached over one thousand (>1,000) employees and exceeded US$70 million in revenues and $10 million in EBITDA. Prior to starting Madison, James was a Partner & Head of Secondaries at StepStone Group, a $14 billion global private capital investment firm. He served on the firm’s Investment Committee. During his private equity career, he has led approximately forty (40) secondary transactions totaling over $1.0 billion in invested capital. He is a CPA and a CFA Charterholder. James holds an M.B.A. from the Anderson School at UCLA and graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University.

Joseph is a Venture Partner at Sweetwater Capital Partners and leads the firm’s efforts on healthcare investments as well as serving as a voting-member of the firm’s Advisory Committee. Joseph has over 15 years of experience in life sciences transactions and investments as a private company CEO, investment banker and a private investor. Mr. Siletto was most recently the U.S. CEO of a China-focused global medical device company, where he orchestrated five acquisitions and both FDA and CE mark approval of the company’s products. Earlier in his career, Joseph was an investment banker involved in over 50 transactions totaling over $1 billion for biopharmaceutical and medical device companies while working for Cowen & Co. and Banc of America Securities. Joseph is also an advisor to a biopharma-focused venture capital firm, Vivo Capital (www.vivocapital.com). Mr. Siletto studied at the Beijing Language Institute and graduated with a B.A. from Duke University and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.

Ron leads the investment and research efforts at Sweetwater Capital Partners. Prior to Sweetwater, Ron was a Senior Associate at Signal Peak Ventures, where he led the performance / portfolio management team, helping to optimize outcomes for a portfolio of late- stage and end-of- life technology and life science assets. Prior to Signal Peak, Ron was a Private Equity Analyst at StepStone, where he focused on European primary and secondary private equity investments. He has spent time working with German e-commerce companies for Paua Ventures in Berlin and completed consulting engagements with TRUMPF GmbH. Ron holds an M.B.A. from the University of Mannheim and graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Villanova University. Ron speaks fluent German.

Cameron provides support to the research and due diligence team at Sweetwater Capital Partners. Prior to Sweetwater, Cameron worked as an Executive Director for Madison Creek Partners, where he managed and operated a 60 bed Skilled Nursing Facility. Prior to Madison, he was an Analyst at Stepstone Global providing research and financial analysis to the private equity team. He also served as a client lead to a large pension plan. Cameron graduated with a B.S. in Business Management from Brigham Young University- Hawaii. Cameron speaks fluent tagalog

Matt leads the real estate research and valuation efforts at Sweetwater. Prior to Sweetwater, Matt was the Managing Director of Coast Security & Investigations, Inc. in San Diego, California, where he conducted and managed background investigations, due diligence research, and forensic accounting investigations to support legal counsel preparing for civil litigation and corporate acquisitions. In 13 years, Matt used his reputation and experience to build a nationwide client base inclusive of DLA Piper LLP, Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP, the National Football League, and Crum & Forster. Matt holds a private investigator’s license with the State of California and graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University, San Marcos.
